Pre Paid Mobile Broadband in Germany?
We have quite a lot of work to do in Germany in the run up to Christmas and it is with a customer who is extremely security concious to the extent they cannot give us any kind of cabled or wired net access while working in their buildings. Also, hotels here invariably charge 12-15 euros a night for internet. This got me thinking about perhaps getting two or three pre paid data sticks for people to use on site. I've tried one option already and I'm now looking at the others.
Last night, I bought a WebSessions pack from a Vodafone store in Nuremberg (for no other reason that this was the first mobile phone store I came across). I wouldn't call it cheap but the options are flexible and it will pay for itself in a few days of not using the hotel option (and I get to sit here connected to the net in the office).
Now, for an additional internet stick for a colleague (or two) I have seen plenty of T-Mobile and O2 shops while walking around the city. I guess it makes sense to buy a second (and perhaps third) stick from a different provider so we have flexibility where there are coverage issues.
So, do any of our assembled experts have experience of using the other two products (or even Vodafone)? Any preferences/upsides/downsides I should consider? The work we're doing will be concentrated in Nuremberg, Hanover and Berlin.
