Was on 797 today. We had an unscheduled stop in LAS as we were "close to the minimum" for fuel to get to LAX. Just didn't feel like I was getting the whole story. Blamed it on headwinds. But really, another 45 mins max in the air? Wouldn't it have cost big $$$ for AC to stop and re-fuel in LAS? Let alone the 2 hour delay for all the pax? Anyone more experienced have any thoughts? Any compensation for these lost 2 hours? Thanks in advance for your insights.
