I was flying UA CDG->FRA->SFO with 1 hour to connect today. Fog at Frankfurt delayed CDG->FRA by about 45 minutes; the FA said there were at least 10 people on board trying to connect to SFO. Despite sprinting across the airport, none of us made the connection (or maybe one or two people faster than I did... hard to tell with lifts). Slow lines at LH ticket counters made any backup routes via IAD impossible. So I'm posting from an airport hotel :\.

I was a bit surprised that they wouldn't have waited 5-10 minutes for 10+ pax. In retrospect, should I have asked the FA to radio ahead for us? Should I ask for any compensation beyond the hotel?

On the hopeful side, tomorrow's flight is showing Y0 C6 F7...
