My family has flown YYZ-YVR-TPE roundtrip a few times in the last few months (4 roundtrips among 3 persons). Only in Economy Y though

However, I learned from SeatGuru about the Upper Deck on the 747, and luckily we get that every time. It's almost as good as Biz class to me, AVOD and longer pitch

My return trip from TPE to YVR was oversold on BR tickets though, and they offered to route me via HKG (TPE-HKG-YYZ) a day later (with only Biz upgrade from TPE-HKG, no thanks).

However, my wife's ticket was issued by AC in Taiwan (slightly cheaper and can accumulate Aeroplan, which is more useful than BR miles) is not oversold, on the same flight, how interesting

Anyway, we ended up getting 2 upper deck seats together after trading seats, thanks to the nice gentleman from Quebec

I am flying to TPE again via CI 747 and LAX, ready to compare!
