So you have two separate tickets for this trip. Hmm...

It should be possible to check luggage through, since both are oneworld carriers. Not sure about what the policy with boarding passes is in this type of case, but if the computer says no at the desk, you could always march to any public Internet terminal and check in online yourself.

If the question is "should I book like this" I would say no. But if you already booked, then most likely it will work out just fine. The risk is that the inbound gets delayed so much that you'd miss your connection, which could be negated by taking a travel insurance policy that covers for this (unless of course you have a fully flexible ticket on Finnair).
