Ken, did you split the PNR very far in advance of the travel date? If so, did you check the new PNR online? Did the Gold keep the original confirmation number or was it kept with the Plat?

I now have a couple of split PNRs for upcoming trips and have checked DL's website to ensure that both of our reservations show "upgrade status" as "requested". It will be interesting to see if my Gold SO gets upgraded before me.
