Last time I went I felt like a refugee with no home since BR had none of my info until I checked in, all they had was an AC block of seats.
I don't know how full this route is lately, but last year I tried twice to buy up to M at the airport and all that was left was middle seats (so I declined). Once on the TPE-YVR leg they were oversold and I lost my original AC seat assignment. So there are definite downsides to the code-share.
I need to do YYZ-TPE in January (actually BOS-YYZ-TPE) and was wondering about going YYZ-NRT on AC and then NRT-TPE on ANA. It's marginally longer, but worth it to me for the chance of upgrading with a cert. Any thoughts?
