We were just there over the 4th of July week. Duke's was still participating in the 10 point/$1. Unfortunately, the golf course/golf challenge had withdrawn from the program. Our rep said that the golf course is struggling financially. At the very least though when you charge things to your room, they "become" a Marriott charge and if you're paying with the MR VISA you end up with 3 points per $.
