My best were a few years ago when NW published a fare that allowed an east coast to Europe routing via HNL and/or ANC for less than $500 rt. I did two of these, each started in BWI, one was to AMS by way of HNL both ways (doubling back, not RTW) the second to LON by way on HNL outbound and HNL and AMS on the return. Almost 25,000 miles each.

Will this get you to Plat for the year?
Hey mot, I'm from the DC area too. Could you tell me what some of the MR paths that you've done in the past were? I just got home from my weekend trip to Vegas. Left on Thurs. morning and came back today, though I'm wishing I would've stayed one more night or just caught the red eye that would've put me back here at 11am Sunday.

The miles I've mostly been getting have been from my weekend Vegas trips that I've been taking once a month since Aug as fares haven't been too bad recently and I think I've gotten First Class upgrades every time. Now for us flying out of DCA, that's about 4400 MQMs per round trip. If there's cheaper fares to different places that can net me a good chunk of MQMs, I may start doing mileage runs starting early next year for 2010 since I have comp GM until 2/2011, and I'd like to keep it for the following year as well.
