Time to think about consolidation, stuff in pockets, cargo pants, perhaps a small back pack as your personal item in addition to carry on. Layer your clothes, wear the jacket on boarding, use a small ipod, get rid of items that you may not need or can buy locally. I can do 14 days with my small carryon (admittedly it weighs more than 7kg and only has been caught 3 times in the last 8 years-only in Asia - but YMMV), a 15kg checked bag and a small back pack which I use only if needed. And do not expect LAN Argentina to be any better except they normally fly their routes. They definitely check weight in Salta, AEP and Mendoza.
