KQ have just offered me 3,000 miles for simply reporting a broken foot rest (I didn't ask for anything).

I think I shall keep them, because then I need only fly another 358 V class segments at 187 miles each to earn enough for a "free" award ticket to JNB. If I maintain my current flying pattern, that should only take just under 20 years! Oh, wait a second . . . forgot about the PE bonus. Only ten years then!
