I'm Marriott Platinum. Recently I stayed at a Renaissance where I gave them my Marriott Rewards number and informed them I was a Platinum member of the program. The only glitch was that I was staying through a priceline.com rate.

Of course, I'm not pushing for the points/credit in the program, however I think from the rules of the program I should have been upgraded to the best available room (I wasn't) and gotten the welcome package (I didn't).

I've asked Marriott Rewards for their take through email. Anyone else have any experience on this?
