Wow, interesting. But should I be shocked? The notion of value just seems so out of kilter in China these days. On one hand you can eat a full breakfast for RMB 5 (less than USD 1), and on the other a cup of coffee costs more than a day's wage. For that price I'd demand 100% Blue Mountain coffee served with a golden spoon.
