I just stayed at the Biscayne Bay Marriott in Miami. When I checked in, the desk clerk told me that if I were to stay less than the 3 nights I booked, I would be charged a $100 'early departure fee'. Has anyone else encountered this? This is the primary reason I stopped staying at Hiltons (Gold HHonors status nonwithstanding). If I finish a project early, or have an emergency where I need to get to another town quickly, I resent having to pay a fee to do so. Is this a new company-wide policy, or just in Miami?
