What bothers me is the time I was at Tampa International and saw a jetBlue take off with his gas tank door open. Whoever fueled up the plane did not close it. I wouldn't get my flights, and drove to NY.

I'm also scared to death of turbulence, and flying in clouds. When I used to fly, I'd need a window seat, and if I could not see land, I'd get nervous.
Whilst careless, the missing fuel cap is absolutely NOT dangerous. Where were you to see this. If on the ground evidently the fueler was still refueling. In the air it is absolutely impossible to see the fuel/defuel panel. Sounds like you need to stick to ground transportation.
