I just cashed in reward #713 for 200,000 points and got 120,000 miles in my AA account automatically and a voucher for a week's stay at any Marriott. I did it with a phone call to customer service. I told them I wanted to go to Europe on AA and that is what my certificate and letter states.

Previous threads have indicated that 120,000 miles is the max you can get no matter where you say you want to go, but it could be less if you tell them a domestic location. Now that I have the miles I am free to use them however I want through AA and the hotel stay certificate is good anywhere for all practical purposes if there is space available.
