It doesn't seem like a good idea to me to drop coins off at American Express Travel Services, Inc to pay an Amex card. The travel service accepts payments as a courtesy to cardholders, then they mail them to the processing center. They aren't obligated to do so since they didn't issue the debt, and people have reported that Amex is already getting irritated with the coins.

Why not just deposit the coins into your checking account, then pay off your Amex card from there?
