Marriott: Where's your "Heavenly Bed?"

I was fishing around for a decent rate at a Marriott near SFO airport for a late night check-in and an early morning check-out. The best I found for last weekend was the Courtyard for $209--ouch!

After looking around, Westin had a $129 rate, so off to Starwood I went. The SFO Airport Westin has the Westin "Heavenly Bed"--after way too many nights on horrible Marriott matresses, this was simply heavenly. I can almost guarantee that the beds at the $209 Courtyard would not even compare to the Westin product.

Wasn't there some talk of Marriott upgrading their beds? Has this taken place anywhere? The last confortable bed I've had at a Marriott was at the Grand Flora in Rome. If Marriott doesn't get with the program, I will be seeking out the Westin slice of heaven.
