Realistically though... we're probably overthinking the entire situation. whatever you do probably won't impact anyone's opinion of you, especially if you can always blame the airlines for putting you in whatever seat you are in.

I always try to find an excuse not to fly with my bosses.

Can't win.

So I'll take a different flight.
