The KVStool is working with a systemcode in combination with a registrationcode.
I took the time last week to format my harddrive and installing everything from scratch after a severe systemcrash. It seems that the systemcode has changed? So as I'm correct one of my registrationcodes has become invallid after a clean installation?
That is correct.

Just a quick thought

100-page computer science dissertation papers have been written on this precise topic, so there is really no quick answer to this "quick thought"

. Having said, the existing system works quite well, given the diversity of systems that KVS Tool users have, including restricted/locked-down corporate machines, Mac/Linux emulators, etc.
Requesting a replacement code only takes a few clicks and the amount of time and effort required is negligible, compared to re-installing the OS.
Lastly, any major changes to the current system would create a need for all of the existing members to re-register, which would outweigh any benefits gained by the improvement itself...
