I saw this today. We must have been in the same audience, polar_b.

There was product placement in overdrive. Forget Coca Cola in Simon Cowell's programmes. (I never watch S Cowell's programmes, so that's easy to forget.) There were numerous shots of airports (not just St Louis) and planes with very clean interiors. Just the one airline though. AA, with numerous mentions of Admirals Clubs. And all of the hotels shown in a good light were glossy Hiltons, except for the one Hampton Inn which is of course part of the Hilton Group. Just the one fairly anonymous other hotel with its Matterhorn frequent guest club. And the main leads only ever rented Hertz cars, with numerous mentions of the No 1 Club.

Some nice touches. The Clooney character had numerous VIP cards. His AAdvantage card was Concierge Level, which when comparing cards with the glamorous lady in the bar seemed to be the conduit to exciting things. She also had status, but Concierge Level trumped hers.

He became a 10,000,000-miler inflight (over Dubuque IIRC), only the 7th to do so, and the captain presented him with his engraved no 7 card. (Good job he hadn't changed his flight.) On the ground, he called the 800 number and was greeted by name. Each 10,000,000-miler had his/her own reservations/concierge line.

Lots to entertain FTers. There were lots of young women in the audience (what is it with Clooney? ) who upped and left as the end credits came on, only to miss an interesting voice addendum as they rolled.

I wonder if we will see it on BA. They have been known to censor competitors' appearances.
