Sounds less like market research and more like a response to SPGs Aloft. Probably less emphasis on market research to find what people will like and more research on exactly how little money they can spend and "refresh the brand."


Love it or hate it, each of the chains watches the other like a hawk to see exactly what the market will bear. Think of it like prisoners dilemma.
