QF did cut F class this summer on MEL-HKG-LHR but it is being restored for the winter season.

QF will place more capacity on this route when it upgrades the existing B747 to an A380 after it takes delivery of additional super jumbos. This could be as early as next year.

As for the JV between QF and BA, I understand the JV applies only to the long-standing routes from the UK to Australia via BKK and SIN. The JV does not apply to the via HKG services.
