Unfortunately, don't count on it. Marriott is pretty tough on their status stuff. They really make you earn your status as I and my fellow Marriott Rewards members have discovered. Personally, I do not know of any person who has received a "status match" from any other chain. If there is someone out there who reads this who knows of a person who has received one, please let us all know the details.

I have several associates who are Hilton Diamonds who would like to jump to Marriott, as well. Like you, they just do not want to start all over again.
