Why reduce HKG Capacity?
Anyone know why BA has reduced flights to 2 a day (from 3), when flights are all full, and it is impossible to get a Club Seat on most days from HKG/LHR.
I notice that even for next summer, when the students are travelling back and forth, it is still showing as 2 flights a day. I know many will be lower fares, but many are also very regular travellers, with Silver and Gold Exec Cards and will very quickly change loyalties if flights are not easy to get on the right days.
I see Virgin and Qantas and ANZ also reduced frequency but CX are operating 4 flights a day, presumably picking up the extra passengers that cant get seats on BA.
Surely they could put on another flight with a 777 at least to satisfy some of the premium demand. Hong Kong customers are very vocal and will soon be telling all their colleagues that you can never get a seat on BA!
