My father was let's say a VVIP in the aviation business as it was constructed in the late 60s and 70s so I traveled quite a bit, for age three or four to about 15 in the pointy end of 747s to Europe and Asia when you climbed the circular stairs and there was a lounge, private dining or something else exciting up there besides rows of seats. At any rate I was probably seven or eight and as my father, mom and myself were at JFK waiting for the GM of the airline we were flying to bring us our tickets - a different era back then. The gentleman came down and handed three tickets jackets to my father. I said the words I will always regret, "Dad, I hope they're First Class." The GM gave a courteous laugh and my parents were mortified. It was a lesson I will always remember and try not to forget to be humble about and privileges or courtesies. Good to hear your story was a fairy tale

So what did you do when you found out it was not... have a stampy foot big rant?
