We liked it!
My wife and I were there for our three days at the end of September. I have nothing but good things to say about our visit.
Location is excellent, with easy access to transportation, including the subway which is crowded but faster than a taxi in the crazy traffic during the week.
As a Platinum Premier, they had a beautiful junior suite waiting for us and since we had three separate reservations on points (see above) and actually were checked in and checked out each day (it took 10 seconds at the desk, but they insisted we do it and have our keys renewed), we got THREE bottles of wine from the manager and three welcome notes! And the wine was pretty good.
Not sure what the schedule was but our first two breakfasts were downstairs (which is fine) and the last day we ate on the roof in perfect weather. The roof is certainly better and most of it is inside, if it is too hot, cold, or raining. Gorgeous views and much less formal than the fancy eating room downstairs.
The place was pretty full of Americans, which is not really what I went to Rome for, but certainly understandable. There always seemed to be one of them complaining about something at the desk, usually something that the hotel had no control over.
The concierge staff was excellent at making reservations, giving directions, and solving "rome problems", and did it with a large dose of patience, which was mentioned above. Ask politely and they will do almost anything for you, act abusive and they pretend they don't speak English.
