It is a Hilton, just happens to be called Waldorf, is NOT a "Waldorf-Astoria" brand hotel. If you go to the WA website, it is not listed.

So, yeah: HHONORS preferences apply the same as Hiltons because it IS a Hilton.

I just booked a few days mid-Nov there, looking very forward to checking it out. As a Diamond, I assume exec lounge and room upgrade will be coming, we'll see. There's an annual street parade just in front of it (Lord Mayor's Day, apparently a big thing), with fireworks over the Thames the night we get in. Serendipitous timing, no?

If noise is an issue, make sure you request a quiet room. Although the view of the courtyard (more like a roof) is poor, I couldn't sleep with all the garbage and delivery trucks going by in the night with my room with the view. And I didn't think the street view was all that big of a deal. Amused me for a few minutes.

My wife and I got UGed to a fantastic suite 2 years ago, I was a Gold. And I actually think the paid buffet breakfast is way better than the lounge access. But, if they give you lounge access, you can't downgrade to breakfast only in the restaurant. The chaos of the tiny lounge with way too many people, versus the great selection at the restaurant biased me.
