Has anyone been to Honolulu lately? I thought I read that the Japan Airlines Lounge used by Air Canada is now closed. Is Air Canada sharing a lounge with someone else (not United Airlines) in the Garden Area of the Honolulu Airport. The UA lounge is quite a walk from the Air Canada gate, and I don't think they accept you on just an Executive Class Air Canada ticket without a Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge Card. Maybe someone, even Andrew, can share any info they may have regarding the lounge as I'll be in Honolulu next week. Thank you.
I was there Friday night and you'll be directed to the RCC above gate 9. Not worth the long walk (AC uses gate 25); take the 'buy a beer option'. Besides the RCC closes at 21:30, so you'll still have an hour to kill after that long walk.
(BTW, thanks to a strong $CDN there's a great deal on Johnny Walker Blue at the Dutyfree if you're a scotch drinker - $134USD for 750ml.)
