It is up to BA, and indeed any airline, to decide when they want to make a flight available for sale. They might indeed choose not to make it available the moment they can, for instance to wait and see what some other carriers do.
Yes, I believe that BA reservations can only be made 355 days in advance, but I was looking at the schedules to plan a trip and assumed that it meant what it said. Maybe if it's 355 days they should change the message to say that. Anyway, I guess I can wait a few more days to plan my trip .
