I stayed at the BH ren last summer and thought it a very nice (almost boutique like) property with good service and very comfortable rooms.

Stayed at the Marriot Downtown (was a sheraton when I booked it) about 16 or 18 months ago and was not really impressed - large convention hotel w/o any character.
