The vouchers you speak of for fare differences after booking are only if the fare for the same exact itinerary go down. AS will re-issue the tickets at the lower fare and issue you a credit towards another purchase for the difference.
Does it have to be the same fare class, too? It seems like it would be to prevent someone from booking Y and then claiming a GARR to change to a T.
What about in the rare event (a fare sale of massive proportions...as if that's ever likely to happen on AS
