The reason there's a sticky for taxi service at the airport is many folks get ripped off - drivers don't turn on the meter and you usually pay B500-600 for a B300 ride. And they drive like crazy...

I can get from airport to Four Seasons for just over B200 on the meter, add the B50 surcharge and another B70 for tolls, plus a B100 tip....so yeah, paying for AOT is doubling up. But how many drivers take the right route?

With AOT you get a comfy car, don't have to fork up baht for the tolls and know the driver will take the most direct way because he has an incentive to get you there asap rather than looping in circles.

And the special return fare of B550 is great - I used it 3 times in Sept and Oct.
