I understand what you are saying, but that decreases the value of the points and the reasons for being loyal. You had to help their revenues, while accumulating the points. Say after retiring, you don't travel as much on paid tickets and want to use AWARDS, there is LITTLE consideration. Even worse now, that 21 day advance discounted tickets do not quality for upgrades, and you have to pay a higher fare!

Is that a reward for being loyal in the recent past????
