I have applied for a Starwood American Express card, which is a credit card not a charge card (Visa=credit, standard Amex=charge). And for the moment, at least, I am going to keep my Aadvantage Visa from Citi...at least until I've worked off the annual fee I've already paid. I'm sacrificing a large credit line earned after 17 years of use of the Visa card, and I do usually pay off the card every month, but Citi is just too slimy for words and certainly too slimy to keep my business, so as long as Starwood does the job of accumulating AA miles, all will end well. But I repeat, if anyone from American is reading this, you almost lost me to Continental due to your partnership with Slimibank, and you should really consider whether that relationship is worth the price you are paying for it!
