Wow, I got lucky this time. I bought another $1000 at $42.50 on 7/19. Still, I remember buying them for $37.50, just a few months ago. I know that 10% off is better than nothing, but I sure would like to see someone get back into this market with something better.

I wonder how much these sellers have to pay Marriott for the certificates. You may have noticed the indecipherable notations on the bottom, including one with a code followed by $42.50. Maybe that's Marriott's wholesale price. If so, selling for less was a loss leader to build up a customer base. Any other ideas?
