Quite possibly, cold and rainy in Barcelona. The same in Mallorca but a little milder. If you want sun in mainland Spain at that time of year, Seville is a good small city.

Barcelona has, of course, advantages in the Winter; being a large city, it has concerts, theatre, museums and restaurants.
