AA is running a promotion for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 2 ways: the second of which could allow the AA FT community to do some significant social good at no expense to them.

As the son, grandson, and nephew of breast cancer survivors (likely future brother of one as well), I am strongly encouraging AA FTers to take these steps at no cost to them:

1. Donations to the Foundation earn you 5x miles/dollar (awful mileage purchase rate, but good to donate!).

MORE SIGNIFICANTLY:

2. 10% of all AA.com gift cards purchased will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (http://ww5.komen.org/) the leading breast cancer foundation.

My hope:
Any FTer about to purchase travel on aa.com could, at no cost to them, make 10% of that purchase go towards SGKF.

Instructions (if not already obvious ):
i. Determine that you are already going to be purchasing a ticket on aa.com
ii. Price itinerary on aa.com
iii. Put record on hold (24hours!)
iv. Click above link to buy gift card for amount of ticket purchased and e-mail to self.
v. Receive gift card nearly instantly via e-mail
vi. Use gift card to purchase ticket on hold.
vii. Fly knowing you've done some social good. Enjoy an extra drink on the flight to pat yourself on the bat. Secure a better future for us all .
