A New Kind of Triple Dip?
Here is a great way to collect additional Marriott Rewards points because you can use their gift certificates toward receiving full points (be certain to use your VISA card for incidentals to receive your double points until June 30th, though)...Also, in addition to this, you can earn free gift certificates from GiftCertificates.com AND S&H GreenPoints which may be redeemed for American, Delta and Alaska Airlines frequent flyer miles!
Here is how it works:
Here is a great way to perhaps "triple dip" for getting your Marriott Gift certificates and additional frequent flyer miles:
To begin with, Marriott gift certificates are counted toward full credit at all nine Marriott brands when you use them toward your hotel stay and pay for your bill with the certificates...
Next, sign up for S&H GreenPoints at GreenPoints.com. You will receive 3,000 points just for signing up and I think that they are still giving an additional 2,000 points for personalizing your profile.
Next, through your GreenPoints account, click through to GiftCertificates.com and purchase your Marriott gift certificates through them. For every $20 you spend in gift certificates, you receive one "reward point." Once you accumulate 25 reward points, you can redeem them for $25 in "Super Certificates" that can be used for hundreds of merchants including Marriotts, American Airlines and many, many more places!
Also, as an introductory promotion, you receive 20 GreenPoints for every dollar you spend...including GiftCertificates.com.
Presently, you can redeem 2,500 GreenPoints for 500 AAdvantage miles with American Airlines, or 500 Delta Airlines or Alaska Airlines miles.
The box score on this one looks pretty good:
Just for signing up and not purchasing anything, I have already qualified for 1,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles...and then, for purchasing $1,000 in Marriott gift certificates, I received 50 GiftCertificates.com Reward Points that are good for $50 in any gift certificate that they sell...AND, I received an additional 20,000 S&H GreenPoints, good for 4,000 additional American or Delta or Alaska Airlines frequent flyer miles...in addition to my 1,000 miles that I received just for signing up.
Not a bad deal at all.
Please tell me how your experience go...I will be checking this post daily.
