Just to answer everything and sum up:

a) My father said "an airport Marriott." I just logged into his account, and I just typed four lines of text that I have to delete because it's indeed the "Atlanta Airport Marriott." I don't know whether Delta's paying for the room, but my father's now 16 nights from making MR Gold on his own for the third or fourth straight year, with more nights booked for November and possibly a ton of nights in December.

b) zman, I will text my father to alert him of the First Class security area and the extra security possibility on Friday morning. My mother likes to get to the airport early, so maybe she'll have influence.

c) AndyTLe, I hate the taste of alcohol, but I'd be tossing down Bailey's-and-coffees in first class, with chocolate syrup if they had it.

Thanks again everyone!

zman, I'd like to thank you specifically on my parents' behalf. Here's the last text my father sent me:
"Thanks. The security only took 10 minutes and we are now sipping our virgin screwdrivers in first class prior to takeoff."
How IS Delta orange juice anyway?
