Just got off the phone with Marriott Rewards CSR...here's the scoop about the program:

Courtyard Club had been temporarily suspended, pending a revision to the program.
Current CY Club members will still continue to accrue points & stays towards free nights, but no new CY Club members will be signed up during this period.

Sometime in early 2000, a NEW program will be introduced with additional benefits and perks.

According to the CSR, this has only happened in the last 2-3 days. They do not have a lot of details other than what's listed above.
