The Penguin Hotel (Ocean between 13th and 14th streets) is attached to the Front Porch and the rooms all have been rennovated. An ocean view goes for about $200 per night. Usually a gay staff and very good food at the Front Porch. Very near the gay beach. But a word to the wise occassionally the front desk might try to send you to a sister property, The President, not near as nice and no ocean view. Don't accept it.

Tripadvisor tends to be full of Ma and Pa Kettles in their once every ten year vacation that book a three star hotel and then wonder why the service and accomodations were not five star. I take most of those reviews, some of which are down right silly, with a grain of salt.
