Any updates on where to stay (around $250)? I usually stay with friends in south beach, not hotels. I was going to try something like the Surfcomber which was (is?) popular. I usually start with tripadvior, but Miami Beach hotels receive a lot of bad remarks, even the pricey ones. Other ideas: Crowne Plaza Z Ocean, Sense, Pelican, St. Augustine, Marriott South Beach.
