With the new offer from Mariott allowing us to gather either Points or Airline Miles, it begs the question...what to do?!?!?

I am currently signed up for the Marriott Rewards program to earn hotel points, because I earn airline miles in so many other ways. But...my travelling days have dwindled over the past three years and my 400,000 Marriott Rewards points are now a measly 578 points due to trips to Hawaii and Scotland.

I expect my travel to increase beginning very soon as I am going into business for myself and will be travelling to client sites again.

Hilton has such a great deal allowing you to convert "orphan" miles into hotel points, but as far as I know you cannot do this with Marriott.

So, we get back to the original question...change over to airline miles, or stick it out with points and hope that my future travels take me to Marriott properties.
