I flew LH for the first time recently from AMS to YYZ with a connection in FRA. I have to say that I am not displeased with my LH experience, I had a very interesting conversation with the FA about Apfelschorle .

Although I must Rant about FRA. Due to a ground stop at AMS we were delayed by an hour getting into FRA which left my connection pretty tight. On board, pax were informed if they would miss their connection and that they had already been reaccommodated. I have yet to see KL do this, they prefer you go use their self transfer machines... I still had enough time to make my TATL but it was close. Having never been to FRA before but certainly not a newbie to flying I figured I'd follow the signs and be able to make my way quickly to my gate.
WRONG.
Were it not that I took a wrong turn and ended up going to the non-shengen (I think b60s) remote stand gates and back-tracking upstairs I would have a. been stuck at pasport control and b. inevitably gotten lost again or walk too far for my flight.

on the return journey we got assigned a remote stand at the very end of the line (next to Air India) and of course, the AMS flight departed from the furthest gate in the A terminal. Despite an on-time arrival I still had to speed-walk to make it to my flight and I was the last to board.

FRA needs to get their act together and get the Schiphol Group to give them some pointers.
