So you are in Marseille, your friends in FRA and Italy.

How long would you intend to stay in the resort?

I would recommend everybody to meet at LYS airport, coming there either by air (FRA) or by TGV train (from Milano or Marseille), then rent a car and ride to large ski resorts of Tarentaise valley :
- Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens etc.. (also known as 3 Valleys) would be a 2-hour ride from LYS
- La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes or Val d'Isère would be a 2.5-hour ride
