I've used the chauffeur service in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Paris. In both São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, I was greeted by a person holding a sign after immigration and customs, and escorted to a decent, but "nothing special" sedan. In Paris, I was greeted by the familiar Six Continents sign, but my travel companion and I were instead escorted to a new, snazzy Mercedes "S" class sedan!!

I live in Dallas, and hence have never stayed a the I-C Dallas, nor have I used the chauffeur service there. However, I can tell you that the shuttle service available at all DFW terminals (Super Shuttle, Discount Shuttle, etc.) is definitely your best bet, cost-wise. Taxis are about 2x the cost, though probably less than $40 from DFW Airport to the I-C.
