Hotlines, seat assignments and the new seating policy

Checking on my flights this weekend. My ticket is a hotline, but when I originally booked it, I could do seat selection on the domestics as the booking class for those legs was high enough to permit.

Looking at the flight today (I wanted to see where the empty seats were), and my ability to chose seats has been removed. Instead, I get a link to the seating policy - and I can't even see if the seats I had previously selected have stuck

Have blue pax lost the ability to chose seats on flights where the class of ticket would have permitted it?

(Or the alternative theory - did the hotline screw up the computer recognition, and H isn't actually high enough to allow seat choice, but yet I got it anyway?)
