I wish that I could have collected the $50. I had no way of doing so since my 2nd call to the Plat Line told me that I was NOT due a gift. Marriott Corporate guest services told me the same thing...even after asking to speak with a supervisor. There was no one on my side and therefore had no way of requesting the gift or the $50 penalty.

I spent roughly 30mins on the phone the 2nd time I called (after my first call attached my MR# to the reservation and told me to go get the gift) and everyone I spoke with told me that I did not get a gift. I still can't believe how rude the 2nd rep was I spoke with. I know many people on here will say I probably instigated it; however, I did not. I even repeatedly thanked the rep for trying to help me to understand it but he was just getting frustrated when I kept asking for proof that I was not due the gift and told him of where it was posted - by Marriott employees - that I was, in fact, due to receive the gift.

Also, as mentioned earlier, at this point it was not about 500 points. Having stayed 150 nights at FS Marriotts this year, 500 points is very very little to my total. It was the principal of the matter...
