I haven't stayed at the GH, but I can definitely recommend the St. Regis. It is in a great location (embassy district), and has fantastic rooms, good restaurants, and a very nice lobby lounge. When I stayed there a couple of years ago, former Treasury Sec. O'Neill was there with his entourage, and Sec. of State Colin Powell had been there a month or so earlier. I paid a relatively small amt. to upgrade to a large suite (Rm 1010) which faces a park across the street from the hotel. (I didn't want to risk an upgrade based on my SPG Gold status). You won't be disappointed. If you choose this hotel, email the hotel and request a room facing park; they can also arrange limo service from airport, if needed.
